La Salamora offers to its guests a big variety of activities, that can be made on foot or by horse.

Walking trails - trekking, native flora and fauna recognition, horserides, sky, birds and horse workshop, birding, rural tasks, picture safaris,footprint hunting and of course the possibility to take off from the routine are some of our activities.



Uruguay is a great destiny for Congresses and Conventions. La Salamora is only 70 kms from Punta del Este where many of these Congresses and Conventions take place. It is a very good opportunity for participants to get close and discover the rural life of Uruguay visiting our ranch. We offer Full Day – great horse ridings and lodging. Uruguay is a country with more than 450 identified birds. The area where La Salamora is located – an area of rolling hills, creeks and many different ecosystems, offers the great opportunity to do birding. In addition we offer the possibility to make an ornithology workshop with Orgn. Eduardo Arballo recognized bird specialist and member of Aves del Uruguay .

We must remember that La Salamora also is a rural establishment, dedicated to produce cattle and sheep. The guests are invited to participate in the activities that are being carried out at the moment of their visit. This will be a great opportunity for all of our guests to get close to something probably new and extremely enjoyable for them.

La Salamora is a cattle establishment. We have 113 hectares (280,000 acres). We have ovine and bovine cattle, and of course our horses. We produce lambs for Christmas festivities and we raised Hereford calves . We offer our guests to participate on the rural tasks if they want.


Historical Trails


We will go back down in the time, visiting a Lime Oven built in 1780 , conforming a battery of typical constructions of the colonial time and we will have the chance to get close to part of the history of Uruguay. As well, we will be able we made horserides around the area and visiting several constructions made more than 200 years ago.
